SWIR and NIR lens features low SWaP athermal design

May 7, 2023
The Ophir shortwave-infrared (SWIR) and near-infrared (NIR) lens is chromatically corrected to support a broad SWIR range, from 700 to 1700 nm, covering both NIR and SWIR bands.

The Ophir shortwave-infrared (SWIR) and near-infrared (NIR) lens is chromatically corrected to support a broad SWIR range, from 700 to 1700 nm, covering both NIR and SWIR bands. It operates with minimal distortion, with an optional configuration for a narrow wavelength from 1100 to 1700 nm. The lens also provides a 10X zoom ratio; a 25250 mm effective focal length (EFL) range; an f/5.5 to support both 5- and 10-µm pixel pitch detectors, including SXGA format; a low size, weight, and power (SWaP) athermal design; and high modulation transfer function (MTF) performance over both the zoom range and a wide temperature range.
