Ibsen Photonics (Copenhagen, Denmark) released a new high-speed version of its extended wavelength range I-MON Interrogation Monitor for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor systems. Ibsen is a supplier of holographic phase masks, fused silica transmission gratings, and optical spectrometer modules.
The Interrogation Monitor builds on Ibsen high-resolution spectrometer technology, utilizing Ibsen fused silica transmission gratings, enabling the I-MON to offer kilohertz measurement frequency and sub-picometer resolution in its 85 nm bandwidth window.
I-MON Product Manager Bjarke Rose says, "Our I-MON Interrogation Monitor modules have been deployed in the field for over 6 years, and so the I-MON has already been embraced by this growing market." He adds, "With this new high-speed I-MON 512E we further increase the measurement frequency enabling real-time analysis, and with its new trig input opportunity our customers can achieve exact application timing while maintaining the high sensitivity, sub-picometer resolution and ease of use."
