The H101A ProScan motorized stage from Prior Scientific (Rockland, MA), which adapts to most microscopes, delivers precise motorized movement with 0.01 µm step resolution, 0.7 µm repeatability, and a 114 × 75 mm travel range. Uses include scanning or inspection of slides and micro-well plates in raster, snake, and random patterns, among others. The company's Intelligent Scanning Technology (IST) allows the stage to be pre-programmed with a unique set of operating characteristics. Compatible sample holders, including devices suitable for Petri dishes, standard slides, and microplates, are also available.
