Jörg Muchametow, CEO and managing director of eagleyard Photonics says, "eagleyard has been a success story since the start in 2002. Today, we are one of the leading manufacturers for high power laser diodes serving customers worldwide."

Located at the historic campus Berlin Adlershof, which eagleyard says is one of the leading Science and Technology Parks in Germany, the newly constructed laboratory will be used especially for transferring new technologies into full production.

"By doubling the size of our production area we are well prepared to fulfill the needs of the huge demand for leading edge technology within the laser industry," Muchametow adds.

eagleyard Photonics has core competence is the development, production, and sale of high-power laser diodes based on gallium arsenide (GaAs). Its portfolio contains laser diodes with wavelengths ranging from 633 to 1120 nm that address applications in aerospace and defense, spectroscopy, medical instrumentation, test & measurement, and material analysis. The Portfolio is split in five product families: single-mode laser diodes; single-frequency laser diodes, multimode laser diodes, tapered amplifiers, and gain chips. eagleyard Photonics began as a spinoff from the Ferdinand-Braun Institut (FBH) in 2002. In 2013, Toptica Photonics acquired the majority ownership of eagleyard Photonics.
