Ophir introduces beam analyzer for pulsed Nd:YAG and diode lasers

Oct. 2, 2001
The system measures average power, energy per pulse and frequency, spatial beam profile, and temporal pulse shape. The measurement parameters can be recorded in digital form for storage and analysis. Laser average powers up to 1000 W, pulsed energies up to 100 J, and beam diameters up to 30 mm can be handled by the system.

Ophir Optronics (Danvers, MA) has introduced the BA500 beam analyzer for pulsed industrial Nd:YAG and diode lasers.

The BA500 allows the users to display a beam intensity profile in real time. The user can then adjust the laser for optimum beam quality, as well as measuring and displaying a beam cross section at any point. The system also can provide a 3-D form that can be rotated to different angles and elevations. All graphics information can be displayed on a standard PC using an optional PC scope unit.
