PRESS RELEASE

New Omicron Sole Laser Light Engine launched

The engineering team of the laser specialist Omicron based in Rodgau created a new laser series for applications in biotechnology. The innovative Sole Laser Light Engines combine up to six emission wavelengths and couple them into polarization maintaining single mode fibers.

Rodgau (rd/mas) – The innovative lasers of the new series Sole Light Engines created by Omicrons trendsetting development department are available in two versions. Either with up to three or up to six wavelengths in the range of 375nm to 830nm and an optical output power up to 150mW at each wavelength. The light sources are diode lasers and DPSS lasers, which beams are efficiently combined and coupled into one or two single-mode fibers.

High-speed analogue and digital modulation as well as fast switching between all individual laser lines in the new Sole Light Engine is realized by direct electronic control. The user can chose from more than 20 available wavelengths and assemble his Sole system individually. Popular wavelengths as 405nm, 488nm, 561nm or 642nm as well as more exotic ones as 375nm, 442nm, 594 or 730nm are only some examples for the wide range of available wavelengths. Through the integrated USB 2.0 interface and the Windows compatible laser control software the Sole Light Engines can be operated comfortably. Especially in the field of microscopy and flow cytometry the new Omicron Sole Systems offer an easy to handle Plug-and-Play solution.
