    High finesse cavities available from 350 nm to 2 μm and a finesse range from 100 to greater than 200,000 are used for wavelength locking, laser stabilization, and frequency standards. Ion beam-sputtered (IBS) coatings and superpolished substrates ensure low absorption and scattering losses. Low expansion materials plus adhesive-free bonding minimize temperature variance instabilities.
