Raman spectral engine operates from 300 to 1100 nm

BaySpec announces the release of its first next-generation visible-NIR Raman Spectral Engine with a range of 300 to 1100 nm. This vestal instrument can be used for Raman illuminated at various wavelengths from 300 nm up to about 800 nm for Raman spectroscopy. It is lightweight and portable for use in the field, with the resolution usually limited to lab bench-top instruments.

BaySpec announces the release of its first next-generation visible-NIR Raman Spectral Engine with a range of 300 to 1100 nm. This vestal instrument can be used for Raman illuminated at wavelengths from 300 nm up to about 800 nm for Raman spectroscopy. Using a 2048 x 64-pixel CCD array, typical resolution of approximately 5 cm-1 is achieved. Lightweight and portable for use in the field, it provides resolution that is usually limited to lab bench-top instruments. Low power consumption adds to the versatility and locations where Raman technology can be deployed. As with all BaySpec spectrometers, this instruments uses a VPG transmission grating and no calibration in the field is required. The instrument's range can be set for any segment of the 300 to 1100 nm range of the detector.
