The 1000W-BB-120 thermal sensor for very-large-aperture lasers is a water-cooled thermopile detector with a 120 mm aperture for handling large beams and laser diode bars. It measures powers from 1 to 1000 W, energy from 2 to 600 J, and spectral range from 190 nm to 20 µm. The laser sensor provides a damage threshold of 6 kW/cm2 at full power and a 6 s response time.
