The LFS-4000 is an optical fiber splicer designed to splice standard and specialty fibers as large as 0.9 mm in diameter. The system combines proprietary filament fusion technology, a high degree of user process control, and simple manufacturing operation. LFS-4000 is also equipped with an applications library to streamline user process development. The LFS-4000 can be used with Vytran’s GPX-3400 glass processor, LDC-400 fiber cleaver, and PTR-200 fiber recoaters/proof testers—creating a complete product suite for splicing fiber assemblies and creating fused components and fiber terminations for fiber lasers, medical devices and others.
