Version 8.5 of the VPItransmissionMaker and VPIcomponentMaker photonic design automation suite offers BER estimation of systems with DmPSK-type modulation formats; statistically balanced generation of m-ary random symbol streams; and modeling for WDM-PONs, OFDM systems, and dynamic optical networks. Improved Search and Quick Find functionalities, enhanced control of multiple (possibly remote) simulation servers, and improved data visualization and analysis features support photonic design.
