The WM-1210 optical wavemeter provides wavelength measurements in the 700–1650 nm range with ±1 ppm accuracy and a 20 Hz update rate. Its scanning Michelson interferometer continuously determines the absolute wavelength of a laser source by comparing its interference fringe pattern with that of an internal helium neon (HeNe) laser standard. Applications include wavelength calibration of tunable and swept laser sources; wavelength monitoring of distributed-feedback (DFB) lasers, tunable lasers, and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs); and atomic spectroscopy.
