PRESS RELEASE

Ibsen Photonics launches cost efficient, high-speed Interrogation Monitor for OEM integration

Copenhagen, Denmark – July 6th, 2011

Ibsen Photonics (http://www.ibsenphotonics.com), a global leader in fused silica transmission gratings and spectrometer modules, today announced the launch of the I-MON 256 OEM Interrogation Monitor for Fiber Bragg Grating sensing systems at 1550 nm. The I-MON 256 OEM complements Ibsen Photonics’ extensive range of Interrogation Monitors for 850, 1310, and 1550 nm with a solution dedicated for OEM integrators.

The I-MON 256 OEM enables fast line scan rates of up to 20 kHz for a large number of FBG-sensors due to the high optical resolution and a broad wavelength coverage. Furthermore, with the direct interface to the 256 element InGaAs detector the I-MON 256 OEM offers a cost efficient solution for OEM integrators of FBG-sensing systems.

“The I-MON 256 OEM has already before launch received strong interest from many of our FBG sensing customers, so I am convinced that this new product will cement Ibsen Photonics’ position as one of the leading Interrogation Monitor suppliers worldwide”, says Henrik Skov Andersen, CEO of Ibsen Photonics.
