Summary
Since the second half of 2023, the investment growth in AI infrastructure has spurred rapid volume production of 800G optical modules. The industry expects optical modules that offer higher speeds, lower consumption, and reduced costs. To meet these expectations, innovative material technologies and advanced packaging solutions are driving the rapid evolution of optical module technology. In next-generation optical modules, SiPh and TFLN materials will be employed, and CPO packaging will be applied. Cost-effective assembly processes are crucial in determining the final product cost, with chip/die bonding and optical active alignment being the key cost factors in optical module manufacturing. MRSI offers comprehensive solutions for current and future optical module assembly, aiming to meet the demands of the evolving industry.
