Ulli Kraske

Ulli Kraske is a high-power laser applications engineer at TRUMPF Inc., where he works extensively on directed energy deposition (DED) / laser metal deposition (LMD) projects using a large variety of materials in many application fields. He is also active in the field of remote laser welding and seam tracking systems. Kraske was educated at the Dresden University of Applied Science and holds a degree in production engineering. He also holds a diploma as an International Welding Engineer from the International Institute of Welding. Kraske has worked at the Fraunhofer IWS and Fraunhofer USA research centers and specialized in the field of process and prototype development for laser processing. His work is focused on powder-based DED / LMD as additive manufacturing method.
